THE TAOIST VIEW OF FREEDOM
“Nature does not hurry, yet everything is accomplished.” – Lao Tzu
The Tao is about unlimited possibilities. Unlimited possibilities means openness within yourself, having a completely open body/mind. Limitation is always associated with beliefs. The belief in limitation, the belief that your life is limited, the belief that your health is limited, all of these beliefs create boundaries. These beliefs look like they originate in the mental plane, but their origin is in what the Taoists call Jing.
The Jing within each one of us is storing the collective memory of humanity’s limitations in the physical dimension.
What I share in alchemy is how to enter that space of unlimited possibility. That space of possibility exists in the deeper dimensions within each of us. We must learn to delve deeper and deeper into that space of unlimited possibility. That is the truth of life. That is the Tao.
That space of unlimited possibility is actually the truth of the Tao. But most of us self-sabotage unconsciously against that truth, because on a very deep level, we don’t believe in the power of the Tao. We don’t believe in the power of causality that the Tao represents.
Rather than trusting the power of the Tao, the power of that causality, we doubt that it’s possible for us to embody it.
And what is that level of causality? It’s an instantaneous creation..
The Tao (the life force) is creating everything instantly, in the present moment. It creates everything and then collapses everything back into itself in nanoseconds.
This isn’t just mystical talk. Quantum physics has pointed to the same principle. Yet, because we have bodies in the physical dimension where everything unfolds so slowly, we don’t believe in the power of instantaneous causality. We deny it, and in doing so, we sabotage ourselves against it.
You could say that the path of Alchemy is about learning to trust in the unlimited possibilities of the Tao.
There is a stage of development in Taoist alchemy called an Earth Immortal. What is an Earth Immortal? It is someone who has begun to embody the principle of unlimited possibility.
And please be clear: this principle of unlimited possibility has its origin t in the deeper and more subtle dimensions of your energy body. Over time, it will eventually manifest in your physical body, and that is what the Earth Immortal represents. As you develop your energy body in the deeper dimensions, where the life force streams in continuously, and as you come to believe and trust that this life force is unlimited, it naturally begins to flow into your physical body. Then your body realizes it has this unlimited energy source always available.
This is why we call it an Earth Immortal, because you begin to transcend the physical limitations of the body. Most people live to 80, 90, maybe 100 years. But when you truly develop this trust in the unlimited source of power within the Tao, your body no longer simply ages. Instead, it grows stronger and stronger with its internal connection to the Tao because the life force is flowing in more powerfully.
I can say from my own experience that this stage of Earth Immortality has been opening within me over the last few years.
To create this level of freedom within your own energy body, it is not enough to just conceptually believe it; every level of your being has to embody this truth. When the cells of your body and the invisible Jing, which is creating these cells, awaken to this truth, that is when you become more causal.
